Due to limited resources, the Union County Sheriff's Office (UCSO) and La Grande Police Department (LGPD) focus primarily on incident-driven enforcement. Most drug arrests occur secondary to other criminal investigations rather than proactive drug operations.

Overdose Data Scope: Overdose numbers are limited strictly to incidents reported to or handled by LGPD and UCSO. They do not include cases treated independently by Grande Ronde Hospital (GRH), local fire departments, or emergency medical services (EMS) where law enforcement was not involved.
